Ted Roop has been in the radio business since 1998. He is very happily married with 2 children and lives just outside of Orillia, Ontario. He is currently Director of Programming for Larche Communications Inc. and oversees the programming for 4 stations in Ontario. Ted hosted the Morning Show on KICX 104 FM in Barrie/Midland for 5 years. During his time in with KICX, Ted was named the Canadian Country Music Association’s Music Director Of The Year in 2007 and won the CCMA’s Personality Of The Year Award in 2006 and 2007 with his co-host Carey Moran. In his downtime, Ted enjoys spending time with his family and friends enjoying as many outdoor activities as he can. He is a big fan of snowmobiling and can often be found on the OFSC District 8 trails in the winter and hanging out on the waters of Lake Couchiching or Georgian Bay on his boat in the summer time.
Pete Walker was born in suburban Vancouver, raised in suburban Montreal and came of age in suburban Toronto. You might call him the Suburban Cowboy. He began his broadcast career in St. Catharines in the mid-80’s and got into country radio in the early 90’s in Toronto. With KX-96 in Oshawa since 1995, he won the Canadian Country Music Award for Music Director of the Year (secondary market)in 2009. He likes long walks on the fireplace, romantic nights at home in front of the beach and horseback riding.
Brian Cox is the producer for the Canadian Country Spotlight, the guy behind the scenes who puts it all together. He has been working both as a producer and on-air host in the radio industry since 1998. You can currently hear his work and voice in the GTA on KX 96, he’s been with the station for more than a decade now. Brian is passionate about music, and is also a popular DJ in the GTA. In the clubs, at weddings and corporate events, his company 905prodj.com is in high demand. He lives in Oshawa with his beautiful wife Crystal and son Caden, and is a big sports nut…..Go Jays Go!
